Balanced lifestyle, High standards

There are TWO great ways to CURE your problems…

They are having a balanced life, and having fresh standards.

If you are sick, tired, or unhappy, try to slice areas of your life into sections:

  •  Work
  •  Home life
  •  Education (it should never cease)
  •  Physical activity
  •  Social activity, etc.

Do you have good standards and goals for each area?    Are you putting too much attention on one and ignoring others?      Do you have one of these areas ABSENT in your day?

I say DON’T ignore your feelings!   Don’t worry about the past or the future.  Sure you can reflect and learn from it, but

the only way we can heal what’s hurting us is to balance our life, or raise old standards.  Keep life fresh!

  1. A balanced life is the answer to a lot of hidden issue we give ourselves.

It depends on your definition of balanced…

For some, balanced = boredom, or snail paced progress in all areas at the expense of turbo charged progress in one area.

It can also depend on your spouse’s definition of balanced, and the extent of the overlaps.

That said, it’s 1am, so maybe I need some more balance…!

Balance is good, but it requires massive focus on each area of life when you are in that segment. You can afford to be balanced when you are productive, it is only when you are unfocused that you need to spend so much time in one area.

    Balancing family, work, beliefs, friends…

It can almost feel overwhelming, until you break them out from each other.

  12. Kate McKeon says:

Balance means stasis- from what I can tell, you prefer dynamic unbalance. To move you must unbalance. The things you love may balance in the long term, but in the short term, you may have to be very unbalanced.

I agree with you Greg. Nothing better than balance in all areas of ones life. Life is short as it is – no use spending it all in one place.
